YOUR TEAM, YOUR IMPACT

Participating in the Susan G. Komen Pittsburgh Affiliate Race for the Cure® with a team multiplies the fun, the laughter and maybe even the tears that you share on Race Day. Rally around someone you know who was just diagnosed, someone who has fought the battle, or someone who may have lost the battle. Together, with your friends, family and co-workers, you make an even greater impact than you could alone.

WHAT IS A TEAM?  A team is a group of individuals who want to participate in the Race together (they don’t have to run/walk together). Any business, hospital, family, club, agency, school, church or other community group can form a team. A team can comprise of 10 or more individuals. Teammates can be friends, family members, co-workers, or anyone else who would like to join.

TWO WAYS TO FORM A TEAM!
Online: The Team Captain must register first and create the team before team members can join the team. If you want to form a team as a Team Captain simply click the "Form a Team" button below. If a team is already formed and you would like to join a team simply click the "Join a Team" button below and search for your team my name.
Race T-shirts and material will be mailed to each team member.  

            

Paper Mail-In: The Team Captain must collect all individual team members completed registration forms, fees and donations and complete a Team Roster form.  All collected and completed forms must be returned to the Pittsburgh Affiliate office by April 16, 2013. All team members Race T-shirts and material will be delivered to the Team Captain's address listed on the Team Roster form.

Team Captain Packet - Will provide great information to new team captains to help you get started.  You will still need to download the team roster form.
Printable Race Entry Form - One needed for each team member.

Fundraising is Easy with Online Tools!

 When you register for the Race you automatically receive your own fundraising web site. Teams receive an additional Team fundraising page. Your Team page is a website that friends and family can visit to find a team member or give a donation that supports the fundraising efforts of the entire team. Personalize your Race fundraising website. Use it to tell friends and family why you participate in the Race for the Cure. You can even accept donations online, right from your fundraising website. To make your page more dynamic, upload a link to a video clip or activate the blog feature. All of this and more is waiting for your Team once you register for the Race! Team fundraising for the Race is easy with online tools!

Team Captains have the ability to customize the Team website with a team photo and story.

Team Shirts and Team Insignias

Creating your own team t-shirts? You can also add our official team insignia to your t-shirt! Now we have Official Race Team Insignias - these files can be used in your marketing materials and on your team t-shirts.
